Michael’s
search for strong and dramatic light is
expressed in his photography. This dramatic
light results in Michael’s richly colored
photographs, for which he is known. Michael is
an avid mountaineer, and has climbed in the
Sierras, Alaska, the Himalayas as well as the
wonderful canyons of Arizona. Michael is also
a scuba diver, and enjoys diving in the
Caribbean and South Pacific as well as
California. He has won numerous awards
throughout the State of California.
His
photographs don many walls in the private
sector and the business community. Michael
shoots primary in the 35mm format, which
allows him more mobility in high altitude
situations. He prefers a slow, high contrast
film, to bring out all the wonderful colors of
nature. He also
prefers photographing at sunrise and sunset, believing
this causes the most dramatic light of the day. Who
knows where Michael’s next adventure will take him,
